Lesson 12.Are You a Counterfeit Christian? (Matthew 7:15-29)

 Many people are going to be surprised on the day of judgment, when all must stand before the judgment seat of God. They will find out when the books are opened, they are not genuine Christians they had been professing during their sojourn on earth. Jesus doesn't want this to happen to any of us. Jesus came to earth with this disclaimer: (John 10:10 ESV)  The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.  During this study, we will explore three topical areas for you to examine whether or not you are a counterfeit Christian.
I. Examine your fruit (Matthew 7:15-20)
II. Examine your faith (Matthew 7:21-23)
III. Examine your foundation (Matthew 7:24-29)

Definition(s):
Counterfeit , n. A cheat; a deceitful person; one who pretends to be what he is not; one who personates another; an imposter.

Looking forward to seeing you again on Wednesday at either the 10:00 AM meeting or the evening 6:00 PM gathering.

Lesson 11.. Requirements for Folowing Jesus (Matthew 7:1-14)

Jesus has now arrived to the ending of His Sermon on the Mount to His inner-circle of twelve apostles. In His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus imparts knowledge, informing us what is required of us, as creatures embodying a sin nature, that we won't become sinful. When we choose to follow Jesus, who He is, according to God's most Holy Word, we then become the benefactors of eternal life. However, when we choose to the path of sinfulness and the ways of the world order, our end result is that of eternal damnation, and a permanent resident with Satan in the Lake of fire. This week's outline, lists four requirements for our leaving worldliness behind to follow Jesus.....

  1. Cease being judgmental (Matthew 7:1-6)
  2. Commit to constant prayer (Matthew 7:7-11)
  3. Comply with "Golden Rule" (Matthew 7:12)
  4. Choose the narrow gate (Matthew 7:13-14)
We invite you cordially to come join us, that we together will study God's most Holy Word, that we will become God's vessels of light, becoming God's vice-regents shining and reflectors of God's light, which is the gospel of Jesus into a world order wandering in the darkness of satanic confusion. Just be reminded of informed, that Jesus came to give us life, and that we will have this life through Christ more abundantly.
